Maintenance Service Settings:
Maintenance settings for products can be defined in Rentrax system, to let good management of the status of the rental items.
You may have noticed that in the definition of Categories, there are fields for Maintenance Settings: Service Time (min), Service Hours, and Preventive Maintenance Notification.
- Service Time (min) - This means how long the maintenance service will take.
- Service Hours- This means after how many service hours we need to maintain this rental product.
- Preventive Maintenance Notification- Shows what kind of remind notice you want to get for reminding of maintenance service. You can set this as ignoring, Warn, or Prevent. Then in the rental order when customers return the rental products you can see a reminder of the product needs to maintain or not when the service hours are reached.
Maintenance Schedule:
Go to the Rent inventory and schedule maintenance for an individual product. you can schedule one maintenance behavior at an arranged time, and give a specific reason in the comments box.
Edit Product:
To open the following edit window, click on the rent inventory, then edit the specific item you want to work.
You may able to see 4 tabs, General, Usage Statistics, Repair Logs & Status Logs.
In general settings, you may able to edit the general information, attributes, and counters.
Usage statistics show complete usage of the product including the total revenue and rent hours. Just click on the usage details button, it will show you the exact details of the product that has been used in which orders on which dates.
Repair logs show a piece of detailed information about the repairs.
Status logs show the complete transformation of the product status.
Edit Product Status:
You can mark and change the status from one state to another. The product status automatically changes for these two statuses(Ready for rent, In rent). But the rest of the statuses needs to be changed manually(Writeoff, For sale, Stolen, Reserved).
Click on the edit product and change the status of the product or click on the status a popup will open and change the status.
You may able to filter the status of the product by clicking the filter icon which is next to the status.
Maintenance Report:
To get the idea of all the products you should put to maintain, you can click the “MAINTENANCE REPORT” button on your left side menu under the Inventory tab.
Then you can get all your overdue items listed (according to maintenance service settings), as follows. Here you are allowed to view the product item details, and also you can edit the product status to schedule maintenance.
