Attribute Definition:
An attribute is a specific characteristic or property that describes a product. Attributes help define and differentiate products within the inventory.
Attributes in the system are grouped into three main categories:
- Category Attributes – Attributes that apply to a product group or category (e.g., Parent category level).
2. Product Attributes – Details that describe the product itself (e.g., Size, Color, Model, Make).
3. Renter Attributes – Information related to the customer or renter (e.g., Age, Skill level, Drivers license, Boot Size).
Category Attributes
Category attributes help you organize products more effectively on the order form, especially when there is a long list of items displayed on the reservation page. By assigning category attributes, you can make it easier for customers and staff to filter, identify, and select the right products.

Product Attributes
Product attributes are defined as the characteristics related to products, such as bike color, size, make, model, etc.
These attributes can be selected by renters & staff if the business chooses to collect them during the reservation process, although they are not mandatory. However, once added, these attributes become part of the product’s inventory history.

Renter Attributes
Renter Attributes are characteristics related to the renter, such as boot size, sole length, age, height, weight, driver’s license, etc. These attributes must be provided by the renter.
For ski businesses, default ski attributes will already be available. However, for any other business—or for ski businesses that require customized renter attributes—it is possible to create and add additional attributes as needed.
